Ty's First Day of Preschool

This was a big and exciting day for Ty. He was so excited to start school. He has been asking Dane and I when he gets to go to school for quite awhile now. So when the day finally dame he couldn't control his excitement. He woke up first thing in the morning before Dane and I even got up and came into our room saying, "It's morning time mommy and daddy, time for school!" So we got up and Dane made breakfast while Ty got ready for school. He was ready so quickly that he had plenty of time to spare. So he watched his cartoons. It was Dane's first day back to school as well so it was fun for the boys to have their first day of school pictures done. As we were taking him to school I let Ty know that Mommy is going to go back home and Daddy is going to go to school while he stays at school. And he said, "Ok mommy, you and daddy can send me a text while I am at school so I will be ok." I tried to not laugh because he was so serious about it. So as we got to school he was just fine. He said his goodbyes and went off to play. I think that I had a harder time leaving him than he did. I stood by the door for a minute to make sure he would be ok and he did not look up once from playing to see if I had left. So then as I was leaving there is a giant window that you can look through to check on the classroom. So I peeked in that and he was still fine playing with the cars. I held back my tears as I left and drove away. I can't believe that Ty is old enough to go to Preschool! The time went by way too fast!!!!

This is Ty posing my the door. He is all ready to go! Every two minutes he would ask if it was time to go yet.

Ty & Daddy's First day of school!

This is Ty waiting patiently to go inside of his classroom.

Ty found his name on his class list. His class name is the Busy Bluebirds.

Look I have a name tag with a Blue Bird on it!

Bye Daddy! Have a good day at School!!

Mommy and Ty on his first day!

This is after I left, and I was looking through the door. He is definitely too busy playing to care that I left. I guess I would rather him be like this than crying for me not to go and breaking my heart as I am leaving. :)

August Times

August has been a busy month for our family. There have been a lot of activities to attend. So I will just post the pictures and let you see how much fun we have had this month! :)

Ty & Carter's visit to the bay Area Discovery Museum. It was a little colder than I thought so Ty is wearing Grammies Sweatshirt. :)

Ty loved working in the Construction Zone. I think he wants to be just like his Daddy!

Ty & Carter sitting on a giant frog

Ty building something in the Space Department

Look mom! I found a crab!!! (It's a good thing it wasn't real!)

Dane and his mom went on a day hike in Tahoe. This is Dane at the top!

Loved Playing at the Lake. He couldn't get enough of it.
Dane cooking breakfast. Look at all of the bacon and sausage!

Sadie exhausted from her swim at the lake. This is a typical position for Sadie when she is camping. :)

Uncle Mikey and Ty & Carter at the top of a giant rock. "King of the Mountain!"

The River Cats Baseball Game

Ty learned how to show his chewed up food. What a proud mommy I am .

Ty and Daddy are both excited to go to the game!

The Sacramento Zoo

Our first trip to the Sacramento Zoo.

My Handsome Ty checking out the animals.

Hurry and take the picture mom. I want to look at the flamingos!

Ty's Super Cool New Lightening McQueen Bike

Ty was so excited to get his new bike! It was definitely time since his knees were hitting the handle bars on his old one. :)

Ty's First Tooth Fairy Visit
Ty fell and hit his front tooth a few months back and it started to get infected, so the dentist said that he needed to have it pulled. I was super nervous about doing it, but we read so many books about losing a tooth and the Tooth Fairy Coming that Ty was excited about it. :)

"Mommy the Tooth Fairy came! But she didn't bring me my Big Tooth."

I guess this Dollar Bill will do... :)

So as you can see we have had a lot of things going on. I will try to stay on top of things and post as it happens so it is not so long of a post next time. :) No promises though!

It is always fun throwing rocks in the water

We are loving it here in Sacramento. We are definitely keeping busy with activities. Dane and Ty went on their first Father-Son camping trip and Ty was able to pet an alligator at the library. And with all of the May birthdays in our family we have been able to see family and Ty has been able to play with his cousins. Life is good and we are looking forward to more fun moments this summer!!

More Changes...

Well....this time yes I am pregnant! :) I am 12 weeks along today and was able to hear the heartbeat for the first time today. I LOVE that sound! I was also able to see our little bundle wiggle and dance. Seeing those legs and arms move, and to be able to see the little fingers was amazing! I will never be able to get over how small they are and yet how much they have developed. They say that at this stage of development they can be about 2 1/2 in long from crown to rump and may weigh about 1/2 an oz. That is just crazy!!! Anyway, we are very excited and Ty reminds me almost everyday that the baby is going to come after his birthday in October. I hope his excitement lasts through the whole pregnancy. :) The baby is due Novemeber 29th. So we may have a little Thanksgiving baby since I was 4 days early with Ty. :) We just wanted to share the news with our family and friends, I will try to post a picture of the baby on here. I will also try to do better with keeping up on our blog. I actually forgot that we had it for awhile. The pregnancy brain has definately kicked in. LOL

Changes

There have been some new and exciting changes in the Christiansen household. No I am not pregnant. :) In the last couple of months there has been a lot going on in our little family. Besides Dane getting 1st place in Nationals with his Electrical Team, he turned the big 3-0. Yes you read that right, Dane is 30! :) Of course that makes me feel a little better about my age since I have already been in the 30 range for a couple of years now. :) We also have decided to move closer to Dane's school, we are moving to Rancho Cordova on April 17th. We are all excited about the move. We were able to find a place in a nice safe area where we can all be together including Sadie. :) This move will allow Dane to get an internship during the school year too since we have cut out the commute for him. He is pretty excited about that. And to top it off we are looking for a preschool for Ty to go to. I can not believe that he is old enough to go to preschool so I think that this is going to be a big adjustment for mommy too. :) Of course it is a bitter sweet move, we have been at Grammie ad Papa's house for the last 3 years and being able to see our brothers and sisters and nieces and nephew all the time, so it will be an adjustment for us all. Especially Ty and Grammie and Papa. :) But it is not like we are moving out of state to we will see them on a weekly basis as I come down for work. :) Plus with as many birthdays our family has they are not getting rid of us that easily. :) And I am sure Grammie and Papa will be excited to finally have some peace and quiet in their home. :) So that is about it. We are excited about our move and are very grateful for my parents for allowing us to stay with them for the last 3 years. Thank you so much! We would not be able to make this move without your help and support. We love you!!

Dane competed in the ASC competition in Reno this last weekend as part of the Electrical Team for Sac State. After months of preparation their team took 1st place in the Nation! Woo Hoo!! I am so proud of him and his accomplishments! He has worked so hard on this and it paid off!! This is a picture of the Electrical Team. The guys that are wearing the ties are the ones who competed. The other guys are coaches and an alternate. Everyone in this picture was a huge part of the win. They all worked together in seamlessly. I had the wonderful opportunity to be there and be a part of the excitement! Thank you Dane for letting me share that moment with you! I am so in love with my husband and so grateful for all the sacrifices and hard work that he has done for Ty and I so we can be a strong family unit. He is a wonderful husband, father, son & brother! Thank you Dane for all that you have done and for the wonderful example you are to our son!
